Removed from another of my studio off-air monitoring tuners, the NAD 4155 (yes I had two of these nice tuners, one was a "backup" unit)
Main board has failed (TC9147 IC) and the equipment was not considered economical to repair, now it has been "parted out"
NAD AM/FM Tuner (SPARE PART ONLY)
Model: 4155
Made in Japan
1985 release
PART:
NEC Supercap 5.5V 47000uF
Part number: C213
PCB pull - functioning fine prior to removal although this capacitor is OLD, it still works and maintained voltage to retain the preset station settings for long periods.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Very good - excellent
TESTING:
Working fine prior to removal, in power off situations, once powered back on the tuner had no issues remembering the preset settings even after long long periods of time (more than one week was the maximum test time period I had available)
Offered as a useful "emergency" replacement supercap in the tuner (as long as the owner has soldering skills) the removal and replacement of this capacitor is very easy.
I have the service manual (which I can supply if it is needed) but this capacitor is distinctive and easy to find. It is located near the TC9147 and is connected to pins 41/42 of that chip.
This part is now sealed in plastic to preserve its condition.
