HISTORY:
My previous business for 25+ years was audio post production but as a side-line we had a quantity of equipment designated as "loaners" for up and coming bands/artists who had either struck misfortune (like some "low life" stealing their gear at a gig) or their existing equipment had simply failed on them, usually at the worst possible moment!
These spare parts come from our Behringer MX 2004A multi-track audio mixer, the equipment has been rechecked immediately prior to dismantling and everything is working great BUT it had some cosmetic issues so I have decided to part out the equipment instead of offering as a complete unit.
Love them or hate them (and some do!), here is the main single board for the Behringer MX 2004A ... it has been tested prior to dismantling and absolutely fully functioning prior to dismantling so it is suitable as either a "drop in" replacement or as a "component farm" for components, the faders or the VU display module come to mind as useful components.
Behringer Audio Mixer (SPARE PART)
Model: MX 2004A
Part # MX2004-A/01
Main audio mixer board
For better or worse, Behringer designed this mixer using one very large PCB, upon which all of the controls/active devices are directly mounted.
Dimensions: 420mm wide x 360mm deep x 60mm high
Weight: 1.4Kg
NO components have been removed
I will not be supplying the nuts/top washer for all of the 6.5mm input/output sockets
No knobs or buttons are supplied - these have all been advertised separately (I felt they would be of more use when offered this way)
Reasonably easy and straightforward to fit this board into an existing MX 2004A - just a bit time consuming. There are two other modules that are needed (not included with this main board) - these being the Power Supply PCB and rear panel input/output connector strip (both are plug connected to this main board)
COSMETIC CONDITION :
No damage to the board or any of the mounted components
Clean and no signs of corrosion
Faders have all had their tracks cleaned - this was part of my initial testing anyway (prior to dismantling)
TESTING:
Before dismantling the 2004A, I checked every input channel and the outputs, EQ, Gain etc and I made sure the VU meter display and all LED's indicated as they should - everything was fine.
Audio through the channels was fine, clean and when the faders moved I heard no noise but just to be sure, I also cleaned/sprayed each of the fader tracks. The other controls are completely sealed and cannot be cleaned externally.
All input/output sockets look to be fine.
Being heavy and large, this main board MUST be treated with care to prevent "flexing damage" and I have mounted it onto a very stiff cardboard backing and then within sealed plastic to keep out dust/dirt - ready for someone to make use of it.
