TESTING:

According to our previous sound engineer, he (like so many other users) loved this microphone for its audio versatility and ability to withstand high SPL environments. Great for vocal (see my note below about this though) or general mic use around the instruments - whether it be acoustic guitar, percussion or vocals, this microphone does a great job.

As this microphone has been in our storage since closing down our audio production facilities, I took it out and made sure it is working fine. Absolutely no problems with this microphone, good output level and very directional as expected.

VERY 'EAVY VERY 'UMBLE - For vocal use his only comment was (and I agree with him) that the microphone is a pretty heavy beast. It is made very tough and sturdy but the downside is that it is quite heavy. A vocalist may grow tired of holding this for too long - put it on a stand would be better.

Some have likened this to (or even say it is better than) an SM57 or 58 - well, it doesn't have the prestige of Shure but from an audio standpoint it really does provide great value for money.
