National microphone

Microphone is identified as WM-2010N

Made in Japan

Released to the market around the mid 1960's and intended for use with National reel to reel tape recorders

Frequency response of this series of microphones from National were stated to be 200Hz to 8Khz (3dB)

Comes with desk stand

Brass 3/8" threaded socket at the base

Plastic case

Dynamic element (35mm diameter) is unbranded - all metal construction

Microphone body measures: 100mm x 50mm x 30mm

Internal impedance transformer, which provides a high impedance output, 20K Ohm

 

COSMETIC CONDITION:

Very good condition overall, front grille is clean and undented. A couple of marks to the rear "flip out" desk stand

Old style 1/4" jack plug with rounded tip

CASE DETAILS:

NO chips or missing corners etc

NO cracks

NO case discolouration

 

TESTING:

Fitted a 1/4" TS jack plug - the output is unbalanced.

The audio lead fitted is 2 metres long.

Sensitivity seems fine, audio quality is as expected - fine for its intended market, consumer audio.

There is no on-off switch, this microphone is always "live"

 

Stored/supplied in a clear plastic bag - sealed
