No idea which audio equipment this came from
Audio transformer - with tap
I was expecting a centre tap but this is definitely not a centre tap, more like a transformer that may be used in a Hartley Oscillator
Rectangular format designed to fit inside a small area - no mounting tabs
Measures: 12mm length x 19mm wide x 11mm height - This is a very small transformer
Flying leads 60mm length except Blue which is 30mm length - these leads are multi-strand.
Markings are non-existant I'm afraid...
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Excellent
TESTING (limited)
DC Resistance tests
Black/White leads - 68 Ohm
Red/Blue leads - 1.76K Ohm
Red/Yellow leads - 1.70K Ohm
Yellow/Blue leads - 60 Ohm
As I have a few different audio transformers that I no longer need, I decided to dig out some basic test equipment to provide more detail on the transformer characteristics
Test equipment used: AWA Low Distortion Audio Oscillator G232, Leader AC Voltmeter
Input to the transformer under test was made at 100mV @ 100Hz, 1Khz, 10Khz & 15Khz
Frequency response (a very rough test and not graphed) was flat from 1Khz to 15Khz
It would seem that this audio transformer is fine for general audio use, nothing particularly special about it though
Note that these tests were not exhaustive but at least shine a little more light on the capabilities of this transformer
