No idea which audio equipment this came from
Audio transformer
Rectangular format designed to fit inside a microphone - no mounting tabs
Measures: 19mm length x 19mm wide x 15mm height
Flying leads 40mm length one end and 20mm length the other - these leads are multi-strand
Markings are non-existant I'm afraid...
I removed the outer insulation (tape) to look at the construction and hopefully gleen who made this transformer - no luck
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Excellent
TESTING (limited)
DC Resistance tests
Black/Red leads - 17.5 Ohm
Blue/Yellow leads - 63.6 Ohm
As I have a few different audio transformers that I no longer need, I decided to dig out some basic test equipment to provide more detail on the transformer characteristics
Test equipment used: AWA Low Distortion Audio Oscillator G232, Leader AC Voltmeter
Input to the transformer under test was made at 100mV @ 100Hz, 1Khz & 10Khz
Using test signal @ 1Khz, I have determined the following:
Turns ratio: 1: 0.56
Impedance ratio: 1: 0.32
Frequency response (a very rough test and not graphed) was flat from 100Hz to 10Khz
It would seem that this audio transformer is fine for general audio use, nothing particularly special about it though
Note that these tests were not exhaustive but at least shine a little more light on the characteristics of this audio transformer
