These two leads were custom made for our analog audio patch panel (audio post production)
The aim with these leads is for the lowest S/N possible using high quality reliable components
There are two completely independent leads, the only difference between them is the colour ring identifying left or right channel
EACH LEAD IS MADE UP AS FOLLOWS:
1x RCA male plug
TO
1x RCA male plug
I "think" these plugs are Deltron's (we sourced the plugs through Element 14/Farnell) but I cannot see them listed any longer, I do know they cost a fortune at the time. They are constructed quite differently to "normal" RCA plugs. Each plug has 5 parts - the main body, the cable end screw on clamp, inner ground/shield clamp (gold plated), main inner body (gold plated) and the front of the plug (gold plated) which is seated in a poly filled tube. The centre conductor is soldered inside the centre pin. The shield sits within the gold plated rear clamp cylinder and held very tightly by the rear cable screw-on clamp (not soldered).
All is an all metal multi-part plug
Outer metal is a dull silver finish, like a pewter!
All contact surfaces are gold plated, including INSIDE the connector
Cable length: 37cm
Cable type: GOTHAM GAC 2
This is an extremely well known cable used in the audio industry for balanced analog audio, AES/EBU etc
Ultraflexible (very nice soft flexible feel - great for patch panel work)
Actually it has two cores (being designed for balanced microphone leads) both of these cores are joined together within these patch leads at the centre pins.
There are two separate leads, supplied together - that black area in the photograph is a SWAMP velcrose cable strap
These two leads will be supplied in sealed plastic
