OLD stock but very good condition
I am cleaning up ALL the various leads, patch cables etc that we had on hand hanging in the audio workshop area. Each lead is advertised separately and I have attempted to provide as much information as possible about each lead.
ALL have been professionally assembled, using high quality components, no point in testing pro audio gear with dodgy leads!
Here is one of those leads ...
NEUTRIK - Audio Lead
3.5mm TRS (Stereo) plug to unterminated
The usual stamped NEUTRIK logo imprints are found on the 3.5mm plug, this is an NTP3RC type
The twin core shielded cable is unmarked but oh my! it is gorgeous (if you are really into your cables)
Some cable details:
6mm OD
Sheath is definitely a rubber material, not plastic. It feels very much like a piece of Klotz. When stripping the sheath, it stretches (a lot) and is quite reluctant to cut through.
I have carefully examined the cable sheath and can find no markings at all throughout the entire length
Inside is the Blue and Red cores, 0.3mm OD each multi-strand copper core (not tinned)
The shield is also multi-strand and bare copper, not tinned.
If you have handled cable for a while, you get the "feel" of high quality cable - this is definitely one of those.
The end distant to the Neutrik connector (also a high quality connector) is unterminated.
HISTORY: This lead was used with some radio mic equipment, the distant end of the lead used to have one of those tiny 3 pin XLR connectors fitted but one of the tech's "borrowed" the connector for something else....
All nicely wrapped up with a SHURE cable strap, actually not really related at all but it may as well be included with this lead!
NOTE: We did have a wide range of SHURE, RODE, BEYERDYNAMIC, and NEUMANN (yes, that gorgeous U87) microphones, wired and non-wired, but they all went over to a very eager broadcasting client in NZ - love making people happy! All we have now is zillions of cables!
Now that my examination of this lead has been completed, it is now in a sealed clear plastic packet waiting for a discerning audio equipment user.
