HISTORY:
I am cleaning up ALL the various leads, patch cables etc that we had on hand hanging around in the audio workshop area. Each lead is advertised separately and I have attempted to provide as much information as possible about the lead.
This cable length is short and only suitable for use as an audio interconnect lead (or two)
Before considering the use of this cable, pay special attention to the sheath diameter! This is a large diameter cable and you will need to use plugs that can cope with a "larger-then-normal" diameter audio cable.
NEOTECH - Audio Cable
Type: KHS 131S
Total length: 1.2 metre
Printed on the sheath:
NeoTECH HIGH DEFINITION INTERCONNECT CABLE SPC KHS 131S
High quality low level audio signal cable (typical use is analog audio component interconnects or studio patch leads)
LARGE diameter: 8mm
Silver plated tight woven braid
Double insulating cores between the shield and centre core
Multi-strand central core
MEASUREMENTS:
Outer sheath: 8mm OD
Silver plated braid: 6.75mm OD
1st inner insulating core (Black): 6.05mm OD
2nd inner insulating core (White): 6.00mm OD
Central core: 0.6mm OD
From the measurements above you can work out the thickness of each component, in a nutshell VERY! This will be the primary reason for such a low capacitance reading
Capacitance measured at 21.8pF per foot
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW Old Stock (Reel off cut)
CLEAN
NO sheath damage
One end of the cable has been stripped back 2cm to make the physical & capacitance measurements
Silver braid is shiny with no signs of oxidisation (Silver tends to go a Yellow and then moves towards a Brown/Black if exposed to air for long periods)
Now packed into a sealed clear plastic packet waiting for that "special owner" to give it a new lease of life!
