Generic microphone audio lead
Amphenol metal female XLR
Alcatel male XLR
Solder terminations - these are not sealed connectors (makes for easier servicing should a connection fail).
Microphone cable sheath is marked as:
DSE W2035 2 CORE PROFESSIONAL MIC CABLE
Now, call me fussy but for professional use I like to see a good solid manufacturers name on the cable sheath and I would only be using this type of lead in "non-demanding" situations.
This is in fact a Dick Smith Electronics product and it is very likely to be sourced from China, with DSE branding.
Thats not to say the characteristics would be no good but I wouldn't press this into a critical on-stage situation unless it was an emergency.
This lead was probably intended for the DJ/Karaoke market
5 metres length
CONDITION:
Undamaged connectors - nickel plated not gold
Undamaged sheath - nice flexible lead with no "nicks" or kinks.
TESTING:
This was one of our "emergency - oh my god I need a mic cable urgently" stock.
Used just a couple of times and today I have checked it through a mixer.
No issues at all and when pulled & flexed, no noises
