Used patch lead from our previous studios to provide manual routing of some SPDIF digital audio via a special patch panel
This patch lead could be used for analog audio but its wasted in that duty, it is designed for digital audio data
Digital SPDIF patch panel lead
RCA Male plugs at each end are gold plated
Note that these RCA jacks have a larger body than standard RCA plugs and the cable entry hole diameter is also much larger than normal. Fingers at the plug go all the way around to ensure a very tight secure connection with the patch panel RCA sockets. The bodies of the RCA plugs are all metal with cable strain reliefs at each end.
The cable is special, specifically for digital audio work and the sheath is marked as"
ITT SPC KHS 131S
This 8mm diameter cable has a heavy silver plated braid.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
No damage to the plugs or the cable
Clean
Gold plating on the RCA's is slightly worn from handling
TESTING:
I would have liked to check the solder connections at each RCA plug but the unscrewable body is VERY tightly secured to the rest of the plug and I could not remove it.
I know this lead was previously functioning fine and a DC check confirmed no problems from one end to the other (resistance test only)
