OLD stock but very good condition
I am cleaning up ALL the various leads, patch cables etc that we had on hand hanging in the audio workshop area. Each lead is advertised separately and I have attempted to provide as much information as possible about each lead.
ALL have been professionally assembled, using high quality components, no point in testing pro audio gear with dodgy leads!
Here is one of those leads ...
AMPHENOL - Audio Patch Lead
75cm length
AMPHENOL 3 Pin XLR connectors used at each end
Both connectors have a plastic rear section with cable relief grommets
THIN audio coaxial cable is simply marked on the sheath (printed) as 8-EIGHT repeating down the length - I do not know this manufacturer (see test results below)
Cable sheath is 2.65mm OD and "hard" feeling but flexible non-the-less
Dual core with shield and Aluminium outer
COSMETIC CONDITON:
CLEAN
NO damage to the connectors
NO damage to the cable
NO nicks or other cable damage
I have looked inside both connectors, solder terminations are sound and professionally made
TESTING:
Standard audio XLR configuration, the cable has Blue and Red coloured coded cores.
Red is used for HOT (Pin 2) on each connector
Blue is used for COLD (Pin 3) on each connector
Pin 1 is the shield connection
NO wiring crossovers, straight forward XLR patch cable
Capacitance testing:
Between Shield & Hot 118pF (47pF/foot)
Between Hot & Cold 61pF (24pF/foot)
Now that my forensic examination has been completed, this audio patch lead has been placed in a sealed clear plastic packet and will be supplied this way.
