The outer body is REAL Aluminium with a plastic insert to receive a 1/4" fluted control shaft

Hybrid Aluminium & plastic
Aluminium is REAL metal, approximately 1.25mm thickness (not coated or 'spray on'!)
Fluted 1/4" receptacle for a shaft
Slightly protruding Black pointer on one side at the base
NO pointer line on the top or down the side
Flat topside with straight sides finishing with a very slight flange at the knob base
Part # 2 (?) This is the only identification stamped into the plastic inside the knob
