NEW Old Stock
Ex our workshop stores, I am sorting out all the little bits & pieces from the workshop and here we go with some more items ... hand tap bits and other "things"
Most items are in their original packaging and have NOT been used, the box has been opened to take out one or a few items but the balance in the box are NEW
If I have any doubts about the condition of an item, it will be described below
EACH item is listed below, the asking price is PER ITEM but a couple of "Hmmm, not sure about this one" are also listed below and are offered for FREE - even if I have doubts or questions about an item, I am loath to throw it out!
These are offered at the same price each and (mix up's are fine too) it doesn't matter which size is selected, with special discounting applied if someone would like to take the lot off my hands - I am done looking at tiny little print on these items!
THERE WILL BE NO MORE OF THESE TOOL/HARDWARE ITEMS ADVERTISED, I AM PRETTY SURE I HAVE CLEANED UP ALL THE RELEVANT SHELVES NOW ...
HISTORY:
Over the years we undertook massive amounts of prototyping and of course, made our chassis and small engineering tasks when creating prototypes.
These are quality items, not your "el-cheapo" Asian parts, sure you might save some money but they just don't have the quality of Australian or English products ...
All quantities are PER ITEM
P+N (PATIENCE & NICHOLSON) - Hand Tap Bits
PACKET MARKING & QUANTITY
M6 x 1.0 Class 2 Taper (1)
48UNF H2 Taper (1) A little difficult to read the packet as some of the Yellow print is missing, tried reading the tap shaft - damn the print is small so that didn't help much either
3/16 BSW Zone 3 INTER (1)
GOLIATH - Hand Tap Bits
PLASTIC BOX MARKING & QUANTITY
M3 x.5 INTER (1)
M4 x.7 INTER (1)
P + N (PATIENCE & NICHOLSON) - Hand Tap Bits
PLASTIC BOX MARKING & QUANTITY
5 x 0.8mm - inside though I find tap marked as M6 0.8 AUSTRALIA and the other is a SUTTON M5 0.8mm (very difficult to read though) (2)
SUTTON - Hand Tap Bits
PLASTIC BOX MARKING & QUANTITY
(White box)
#4 40 UNC BOTTOM (1)
(Green box)
M5 0.8mm - inside though I find 1x SUTTON M5 0.8mm ISO2 and the other is unidentifiable because the print/stamp on the shaft is just so light I cannot read it but it is definitely a much smaller tape than the M5 0.8mm (2)
(Yellow box)
5/32 BSW Z3 - inside I find 3x 5/32 BSW taps but each has slightly different tap or shaft length. I could read the shaft print/stamping and they definitely all say 5/32 though. (3)
While straining to look at these taps closely, I looked at the cutting teeth and they ALL look fine.
SMALL CLEAR BOX OF CARBIDE DRILL BITS (4)
FREE
I don't like the look of these bits but perhaps I am just tired of squinting at tiny little bits of metal!
They are colour coded (I think these were originally part of a much larger set) and marked as:
Lime Green 1/16
Red 2.00Y
Deep Purple 1.50
Light Purple 57Y
BLUE - RED Very Small drill bits set in plastic with two tubes of ???
FREE
Now I cannot for the life of me recall what these are for! It's an age/memory thing I think. Here I am looking at two drill bits (very very small) embedded in plastic handles. One is Blue and the other is Red. There is also a long (80mm x 11mm diameter) crystal clear tube which have multiple strips of very small round metal which looks to be "segmented" and fits into a little carrier which is also inside the each tube (colour coded as well) Bending the long, thin, round strips doesn't give a hint what their purpose might be - they feel like solder in that when bent, they do not return to the original shape - it doesn't "feel cold" like steel.
Anyway there is two tubes, also having colour coding of Red and Blue
This last item is probably the bargain of the bunch!
Not free but at just $1.50 it represents outstanding value for money
L.S STARRETT Auto Centre Pin Punch With Two Tips
After carefully starring at this thing for a long time I have "decoded" the stamping in the metal as L.S STARRETT LTD GREAT BRITAIN NO. 18-AA
L.S Starrett are a USA company of some note (fine engineering tools) but I see on their website that they do have a manufacturing facility in UK
This punch has a SMALL tip and it is SPRING LOADED, Actually you can unscrew the two halves of the body and extract the spring inside - nice engineering.
Two colour coded tips (in clear plastic bottles) are included - these screw into the front of the punch
HERE is a link to the Starrett product page for more information about this punch
My wish is for this punch to find a new owner where it can be put to use again ... it's a bit of a bargain!
COSMETIC CONDITION:
All packets are as described above
I did NOT observe any rust or other "age damage"
I looked at each tap and they all appear to be fine
*** The photograph shows all of the above hand taps in their original plastic packets or boxes ***
Obviously, if you are purchasing a lesser number than the whole lot PLEASE let me know which items you would like and quantity, if there is more than one available.
