This accessory is strictly for the audio professional who likes a bit of DIY
Why? because the pictured jack plug with extended body is actually empty!
The male jack plug simply screws into the front, then there is a 91mm long anodised metal body which is screw on.
Inside this body/tube is a plastic holder and it is here that you have plenty of space to fit your impedance matching transformer or even a 1:1 if going from balanced to unbalanced signal path.
NO transformer is supplied, that's for the user to sort out although I do have a few different microphone transformers on offer at the moment (see my other advertisements)
The exit from this enclosure is a 6mm hole for your cable.
The nature of the internal plastic housing means that it is not difficult to devise a means of ensuring there is no stress to the cable at the point of exit through normal use.
The metal body of the enclosure is anodised bronze/gold in colour and judging by the weight of the enclosure, the base metal is probably aluminium.
The empty space inside this enclosure measures 55mm x 8mm diameter - providing tons of space for a typical impedance matching transformer.
Some customising is also possible with this casing, by screwing in a TRS male connector instead of a standard jack plug, you could reverse the audio signal to achieve unbalanced in via the cable and balanced output.
