As removed from a NAD CD Player Model: 5255

This NAD model was released to the market in the early 1980's

The lovely Toshiba laser head had failed and I have discovered they are EXTREMELY difficult to find replacements for, so the complete machine has been parted out.

These buttons and the display window are offered as spare parts for the 5255 although it is possible these could suit other NAD equipment

NAD CD Player 5255

10x Front panel push buttons as pictured, 8x black (one is the large Play button), 1x green (power on-off) and 1x brown (pause-reset)

One button is NOT included, this is the large Track-Index (black) button which operates the sliding switch for Track-Index - this button will be supplied with the display board.

1x Display window glass (clear rectangular window with black surround)

COSMETIC CONDITION:

There is no physical damage to any of these components

All are clean, shiny and no imperfections observed

Display window has been cleaned of any glue residue (Denon used a horrible black sticky goo to attach this to the front panel) and the clear window is not scratched

The display window is designed to fit perfectly into a front panel rectangular slot measuring 110mm wide x 33mm high

The button condition is critical because NAD used a plastic button with a square "spring" frame around it. The button is inserted into the hole (from the rear) and the frame is "locked" in position by a post (part of the front panel rear) with a little clip on the top of it. Should this clip be broken on your front panel, the button will have no "spring" and will not be pushed forward. So before changing buttons, check those little posts on your front panel rear. Of course, the spring frame attached to the rear of the button must also be completely undamaged otherwise this too will create a button that is "sloppy" and has no spring action to it.

The buttons I am supplying ALL have perfect rear frames.

Since removal, all of these items have been sealed in plastic and they are only offered as a set - not individually.
