Removed from a NAD 510 CD Player
Fully functioning prior to removal
Great for those who love to tinker with the analog output after the DAC to get a more satisfying sound
NAD DAC Sub PCB
Ex NAD 510 CD Player
THIS PCB HAS NOT BEEN MODIFIED IN ANY WAY AT ALL - IT WAS A FUTURE PROJECT THAT NEVER HAPPENED!
This is the DAC board only (to the right hand side of the equipment when viewed from the front)
Philips SAA5370GP DAC (20 bit) - typically 98dB dynamic range, -96dB THD & -103dB silence noise
3x NE5532 Op amps used in the analog filtering/output
Although intended as a budget entry CD player, the 510 lends itself to experimentation due to very easy access to components - single layer board etc
Most often the Op amps are changed and capacitors upgraded or changed.
Have a look around online, this link is a good starting point https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digital-source/328535-troubleshooting-nad-510-cd-player-2.html - actually it begins discussing an issue with the laser system but then goes into quite a discussion about the op amps/filtering etc, interesting if that is your "thing"
The idea of offering this board is primarily for experimentation, remove the existing op amps and fit good IC sockets. Then try a few different op amps while tinkering with the caps. When you want to go back to a stock standard 510, just fit the original board once again (its very easy to do)
Removed and stored in ESD controlled conditions and it will be supplied in ESD packaging
