Nice Sony multi CD player, carousel system, which allows up to approximately 6 hours of playing time across the 5 CD's (depending upon each CD duration)
This is a LARGE format CD player (see dimensions below) and you will need a wide space within which to fit this player.

ITEMS NOT SUPPLIED
Music! - those CD's were used for testing and are NOT part of my offer
The little pussy cat is also not for sale - that's my pussy!
2x AA batteries if being shipped - Australia Post is especially sensitive about batteries being post in equipment
If you were picking up the equipment, no problems supplying brand new fresh batteries
COSMETIC CONDITION:
In excellent condition, case is not dented, scratched, discoloured or otherwise damaged!
Light blue display is very clear and easy to read - we actually liked this display very much because it is clear but not too bright for low ambient light levels.
Front panel is clean with no decal damage
TESTING:
This is another of our long term "consumer level" CD players from our old "green room" in our audio production days. As this was used primarily for client listening while they were waiting for something to happen.
This equipment ALWAYS was well maintained and even though pretty old equipment, never let us down - I think the only things we had serviced were a belt and I "think" the laser pickup head was replaced about 20 years ago!
Powers up, does its little search thing - it always looks for CD's already in the tray.
Then it sits there and waits for "its beloved" i.e you the owner, to do something such as inserting a CD or playing.
I then made sure I could load up all the slots, this went fine - no issues at all.
I then fired up a CD (that means played it) and there are no problems with start up time (finds the TOC very fast) and play is without any glitches or hiccups - very nice audio too!
One thing the user might notice, on the equipment itself there is NO fast forward or backwards button on the control panel - you can move track to track but not within a track. But wait, its not as bad as it sounds.
That function is on the remote control only - so with the remote you can move around within the track no problems.
I used the remote for all functions, in addition to the front panel - the remote is working great as well.
This is a really nice unit although pretty damn big (but not too heavy) and the audio output is very nice.
No problems shipping this BUT I cannot find the special laser pickup locking key (probably discarded by the staff years ago) so I am forced to ship the unit WITHOUT the laser assembly locked in place.
This SHOULD work out ok, I do pack extremely carefully but it would have been better to have that locking key.
If it was being picked up in person then that would be magical - safest for the equipment and my peace of mind!
