C90 means there is up to 45 minutes recording time on each side
Sony Type I tape media is not much different to other Type I manufacturers in the day but Sony did focus on producing a much better clamshell design which is able to withstand higher temperatures, tape durability is improved over the "others" (tape breaking when under stress), auto cleaning mechanism.
A very good "general purpose" recording media, intended for the domestic user.
Funny enough, these are now EXTREMELY difficult to find (and extremely stupid prices ($50!!!) are being asked online by others! Take a look at Fleabay)
