Ex workshop spare parts, time for me to find new owners of these components
We always had a number of audio related valves in our audio post production workshops, for musicians who suddenly were in dire need ... I do NOT service equipment any longer and these parts no longer have any purpose for me.
AEV - Valve (Tube "Bottle")
Made in Russia
Hmm, oui oui oui, what's going on 'ere then?
Boxed in AEV outer boxes (as new) but the tubes inside are BOTH only marked (Gold printed) as
12AX7A
MADE IN RUSSIA
NO BRANDING ON THE GLASS ENVELOPE
I didn't look after the day to day purchasing decisions when we were buying our stocks so I have no idea even who AEV in Russia are, never heard of them! Then why the tube envelope is not marked, other than these were made in "Putin Land"
TYPE: 12AX7A
CODE: None seen
NOTE: Just to the right of the Gold ID printing on the glass envelope there are the emission test results made yonks ago (Gold metallic ink)
3.6, 3.2
&
3.6, 3.4
Halo getter
Grey plates
Dual Triode Small Signal
Another tube which has been around since the "dawn of time", I remember using these in the 1960's! This is a modern incarnation of this very well known tube.
Commonly used in guitar amplifiers and high quality tube home audio amplifiers, these AX7's have a reputation for very low noise and microphonics response.
Old Stock (approximately 2008)
NEW Unused
Original box these were supplied in
The box has the test results printed on both the box and the glass envelope (it was a requirement for our staff to always check incoming stock upon receipt, prior to placing on the workshop shelves)
Just a couple of these 12AX7's left now, give it a new home as they are looking to get to "work" and provide you with that sweet analog valve sound!
These are BRAND NEW but old stock
I am clearing out the workshop stocks (pro audio post production business closed down) and the availability is strictly limited and will not ongoing, once they have found new owners there will be no more!
