HISTORY:
Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything (that has been tested and still functioning properly) should be repurposed creating saving in wasted Ee and reducing the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.
Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.
If you would like to know more about Ee values, please take a look HERE
Another recent "patient" that was laid out on the workbench operating table but it didn't "pull through" so various useful components were salvaged so that life could be given to other PMA-710's
This front panel is used of course but in quite good condition, described more fully below
This is the complete FRONT PANEL (IN THE NUDE) WITH NONE OF THE CONTROLS. A good candidate if you have a PMA-710 but the front panel is 'shot to pieces' and a replacement panel is desired.
DENON - Integrated Stereo Amplifier FRONT PANEL Only
Material: Aluminium (brushed and left with a satin finish)
All labelling is screen printed directly onto the Aluminium
Made in Japan
DIMENSIONS:
434mm wide x 85mm height
Clear plastic display window is fitted (power amplifier L+R output level indicators)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
This is the important part! I will try my best to inform as accurately as possible
Front panel is clean
Physically without damage i.e no bending!
NO significant scratches observed
NO significant discolouration or wearing observed
This panel has been given a "light" cleaning treatment, it could possibly be further improved with more cleaning HOWEVER be careful ... although the control labelling is screen printed, and currently not worn at all, I would not want to rubbing cleaning liquids around that labelling too vigorously!
NO wear can be observed to the printed labelling above or around any of the controls
The clear display window is substantially unmarked although it does have a couple of very light marks - in normal use these will not be a problem for the user of the equipment.
I CAN SEE a couple of very small and not deep "nicks" in the Aluminium, one is right up on the top edge to the left of the DENON text and a couple of much lesser significance also on the top edge on the other side, around the top of the Volume control cutout. Please look at the photograph to make further judgements yourself.
Although not in perfect condition by any means, this panel could still substantially improve the visual appearance of another PMA-710 that has suffered some mishandling.
To ensure the condition remains as described above, I have now sealed this complete front panel in protective thick plastic and then packed in bubblewrap.
