USED but in excellent condition
Ex UK broadcast equipment, 1990's vintage
Originally these were provided to allow for technician access to card signals for test purposes, analog and usually audio small signals
These panel mount connectors are not your ordinary 6.35mm sockets, why?
Fully insulated body and Light Grey* front nut - there is no direct electrical contact with the panel upon which it is mounted *More with BLACK nuts HERE
This is a TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) socket and EACH contact is available separately as a signal path, suitable for user configuration as balanced or unbalanced analog audio or even digital signalling such as AES/EBU
All contact surfaces and solder tag terminations are gold plated for reliability
The body does not respond readily to heat (soldering) unlike el-cheapo assemblies which have a habit of melting!
EACH signal (tip, ring or sleeve) are separately switched (break contact)
Absolutely top class for amp heads or other musical equipment that requires long term reliable in-out connections and of course general studio use because of their reliability and configuration flexibility.
RS ELECTRONICS (UK) - PANEL SOCKET 6.35mm (1/4")

Circa 1990's based on the broadcast equipment this was removed from...that said, these look very similar to the Pro S4 series which are currently available in the UK for £5 EACH! or around A$8 - these are not cheap and nasty Asian products.
