As removed from my Radio Shack Nova-6 speaker system
Cabinet was a mess so I have "parted out" the speaker system
The Nova-6 bookshelf speaker system used Japanese manufactured loudspeakers, marketed by Radio Shack USA (Tandy)
Included is an extract from the Radio Shack USA catalogue, 1977
Pretty expensive when consider the prices indicated are now 40 years old.
Radio Shack marketed many innovative products sourced from Japan, rebadged from reputable manufacturers of the time. These loudspeakers are generally considered "acceptable" and not too bad but I am unaware of the original OEM for these.

TESTING:
Immediately prior to dismantling I fired up the speaker system one last time and had a play with the 3 position switch at the rear - this switch ONLY affects the tweeter sound level, nothing more (it does not adjust the crossover frequency)
I took a closer look at this "network" and it is extremely basic, in fact the woofer/driver sits across the amplifier output with no filtering at all. Only the tweeter has some LC and then 3 switched resistors allow the user to adjust the tweeter "sound level"
I have made a rough diagram of how this network is wired, a user may well want to change this network as it is pretty crude.
There is a 3 position slide switch on the panel which allows the user to change the series resistance in line with one leg of the tweeter (ranges from 1.9 to 15.5 Ohms)
Input to the network can be either screw terminals or the RCA female socket (has a small black plug inserted when not in use)
Colour coding of the speaker wires:
Blue-Black = Tweeter
Yellow-Black = Woofer/Driver
