DIN 41612 is a European engineering standard commonly used for rack system prototypes, R & D and commercial electronic systems. Using this standard, cards can be designed for fitting into rack sub-frame slots, often up to 12 cards across the width of the frame.
When you have so many cards in close proximity, it is often desirable to shield one card from another to prevent mutual interference.
That is the sole purpose of these plates, they are usually fitted on the underside of a card PCB (4x corner posts) and provide a good shield between adjacent cards.
These plates are USED, removed from Broadcast equipment but completely suitable for re-use.
