Eurocard format power supply
IRT
Model PSU3006 & PSU4000
BOTH models are absolutely identical electrically - same components, same wiring etc
Physically the ONLY difference is the front panel width
PSU3006 = 60mm
PSU4000 = 50mm
The change in model would seem to give a wider front panel, spreading the supported weight and also slightly better clearance for the toroid inside the case.
Made in Australia
Dates from the 80's - 90's period
This module ONLY provides your raw AC, there is no rectification or filter capacitors/regulators - those were originally on the Eurocards themselves for this equipment.
4 AC voltage input selectable - 110 130 220 & 240V AC
Green led is driven by a small circuit that only lights the led when voltage is present and correct.
Output from the toroid has a double choke, inductance 400uH and maximum current of 3.6A each ring. Type is EPCOS B82721A2362N1
The toroid has two separate secondarys, both are 14V AC 40VA each
Toroid is from Talema in Germany part #92209 P3S02 Distributed in Australia by Tortech in Sydney.
On the rear connector is the following:
Pin 2 = Active AC input
Pin 4 = Neutral AC input
Pin 18 = 14V AC output
Pin 20 = 14V AC output
Pin 22 = 0V AC output (Common)
Pin 30 = Voltage alarm output
Pin 32 = Ground/Earth
This means there is a dual 14V output or if you use just pins 18 & 20 you get 29V (open circuit voltage)
I also have a limited number of matching female DIN41612 sockets, with just the IEC socket connected - of course you should tidy up the wiring (heat shrink the active and neutral) to ensure maximum safety.
The voltages inside these units are dangerous and it is vital that the user knows what they are doing.
Casing is pressed steel and very rigid and strong but also heavy - to mount these into the Eurocard frame it is advised to use the METAL guide rails, not the normal plastic. I have these metal rails listed separately.
All units offered have been tested completely and all are in excellent condition both cosmetically and electrically.
$25 is my price EACH POWER MODULE - I currently have 6 of these available
PSU3006 4x
PSU4000 2x
