HISTORY:
My "world" is 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.
I am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.
While the world of 8mm/Super 8mm is not my area of expertise, I am doing my best to establish the condition of each item that I am listing.

Family orientated adventure film, set 300 years ago in Jamaica - pirates and big canons galore!
Housed in a thick clear perspex case (top fitting lid with easy to grip side slots for removal) with a light Blue base plastic

Film stock and the reel in each part is undamaged
The clear perspex plastic case top section does have some light scuff/scratch marks from handling & storage over the years.
NO damage to the case i.e no cracks or broken pieces
No unusual smells detected coming off the film i.e no vinegar or musty smells
NO personal names or other writing on the case or the film reels
TESTING:
Test projector is the ELMO 1200 that I have on hand at the moment.
Film looks to be clean and in good condition, sprocket holes are not damaged.
I only ran the film for the first five minutes or so to observe the colour and sound.
The colour has definitely shifted towards the Red end of town although I can still see Greens (at times) but Blues seem to be AWOL.
Sound is good, clear and easy to understand although if I was to be critical about this I felt it was just slightly muffled (high end loss of the audio) No audio dropouts observed and the level is at a good level and constant.
In my opinion, after this very brief test, I am happy that the film is as stated on the box and looks to be in reasonable "technical" condition.
Anyway, I am very fastidious and careful with these films and I have now packed it back into the original plastic case box AND sealed the film within clear plastic - waiting for a Super 8 film buff to enjoy this good ol' pirate movie from yesteryear!
