HISTORY:

My "world" is 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.

I am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.

While the world of 8mm/Super 8mm is not my area of expertise, I am doing my best to establish the condition of each item that I am listing.

I tend to be quite detailed in my item descriptions, please READ all the details to decide if this item may interest you.

Now, on with the description ...

PLEASE SIR! (1971)

British comedy film (spin off from the television series), the teacher is played by John Alderton and his class is the notorious 5C. An opportunity presents itself where the class and the teacher go on a camp and mayhem results, the teacher chasing a barmaid and the kids up to their usual antics. Typical 70's British comedy aimed at the younger generation

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED

CLEAN

Film stock and the reel are both undamaged

The thick plastic case is in good condition, some scuff marks to the top and underside but no cracks or other damage.

Cover slip graphics are clear as is the side identification label

NO unusual smells detected coming off the film i.e no vinegar or musty smells

NO personal names or other writing on the case or the film reel

TESTING:

Test projector is the ELMO 1200 that I have on hand at the moment.

Film looks to be clean and in good condition, sprocket holes are not damaged.

I ran the film through the projector for the first four minutes or so, to observe the picture and check that the sound quality.

The colour is actually pretty good, almost as I would expect from an old film with plenty of colours across the spectrum, perhaps a slight leaning towards the Red but not much - probably one of the best colour representations I have seen so far in these films I am viewing.

The sound is crisp and clean, no "noises" and it is easy to follow the dialogue

In my opinion, after this brief test, I am happy that the film is as stated on the case and looks to be in very good "technical" condition.

I am very fastidious and careful with these films and I have now packed the film into a sealed clear plastic packet to maintain the current condition and it now patiently awaits a Super 8 film enthusiast to give it a new home and have a chuckle or two!

USED EXACTLY as described
