HISTORY:
My "world" is 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.
I am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.
While the world of 8mm/Super 8mm is not my area of expertise, I am doing my best to establish the condition of each item that I am listing.

THE PERSUADERS (Episode: The Old, The New And The Deadly) 1970's
Produced in UK, starring Tony Curtis & Roger Moore. Adventure, drama & comedy series which was very popular during the 1970's on British television. An quirky television episode in a theme similar to The Avengers ... a bit "out there"
Box set which is housed in a thick cardboard outer box, with each reel of film having their own hinged section clear plastic cases with labelling.
This packaging is original NOT "White box"
Leader film fitted to all reels
3x 7" 400' capacity Grey unbranded plastic reels with film clips fitted

Film stock and the reel in each part is undamaged
Outer heavy cardboard box with graphics is in surprisingly good condition after around 50 years! Barely any wear at all to the graphics.
The 3x reel cases are all undamaged, barely marked at all.
No unusual smells detected coming off the film i.e no vinegar or musty smells
NO personal names or other writing on the case or the film reels
TESTING:
Test projector is the ELMO 1200 that I have on hand at the moment.
The film on each reel looks to be clean and in good condition, White leaders fitted to each.
I only ran the film for the first three minutes of each reel observing the picture and sound.
Picture definition is fine although the colouring (like so many others I have played) well and truly tends towards the Reds - the Blue dye has substantially degraded although not completely disappeared as i can see Browns, Greens etc sometimes.
Sound on all three reels is good, crisp and easy to understand dialogue and background music, not muffled.
SPECIAL NOTE:
I always include a couple of "off screen" snapshots of each reel as it is played ... now my digital camera is antiquated (colour balance? what's that - like I said, this is one very OLD camera that I currently use) and it's limitations are definitely showing up in these sample photographs.
I take the screen shot in very low light levels, the camera flash is turned off (otherwise the picture is flooded with White) and the camera shutter speed is very slow.
This means I have trouble getting sharp photographs, especially when there is movement on the screen and I have noticed that after viewing quite a few films now, that my poor OLD digital camera is tending to shift images towards the Red or Yellow end of town, - in real life the on-screen picture is not as Red as recorded in the photographs
In my opinion, after these relatively brief tests I am happy that the film is in pretty good condition both technically and physically.
I am very fastidious and careful with these films and I have now packed the complete box set within a clear, sealed plastic packaging - waiting for a new owner.
