Casey Ware ceramics were produced in Sydney and this piece dates from the period 1950's - 1960's - very fashionable, for the period.
The Casey Ware range was extensively marketed through the major department stores of the day - these were mass produced ceramics, by Australians for Australians.

Pale Yellow colouring, with detail ribbing and seeds detail in the central area.
Glaze has been applied externally and of course internally
Overall quality is good
Shape is number 87 (this made it much easier for the stores to order product "I will have one dozen number 87 in mixed colours at 3 pounds each" for example
MEASUREMENTS:
15-1/4" wide (39cm) x 6" high (15cm) x 3-1/4" wide (8cm)
Intended for a relatively large full spread floral spray, using medium length stems but not really suitable for long stems flowers such as the Gladioli due to the vase height only being 6 inches (broad but low profile).
COSMETIC CONDITION
This piece DOES HAVE TWO FLAWS
One small chip to the top near the end of the fan (see the photograph with the arrow)
One light crack although this is only visible on the outside, I have shown a photograph inside but the crack is not visible inside. Tested and it DOES water and it does not leak.
Turn the vase around, label to the rear and no-one will ever know!
NO substantial crazing - just a hint of crazing inside at the base (where the water has been previously)
Clean inside and out with the exception of a couple of little spots where I could not seem to lift the very small brown marks.
Original Casey Ware Silver metallic decal is attached to one side of the vase

Casey Ware (flowing writing with the Y of Casey having a long tail that flows into the W of Ware)

There are further markings on the underside, using Red "something' and although difficult to read, I believe it says
V47RH xxxx (unable to determine what this is)
I actually think someone has added this after manufacture, I do not believe this is a maker's mark.
