"Dated" analog professional video distribution module from Talia
Talia (Sound & Vision) was Australian based, later bought by CODAN and along with Provideo, became Codan Broadcast.
I have included (see below) a very basic video I found online which shows some of the Talia equipment from the early 1990's - no commentary so the video is a bit boring but nice to have a peek at the old equipment! Note the highly technical "tapping" of the card in order to fit the front panel on the rack frame!
High quality equipment which was widely used in the Australian broadcast industry until everything went digital, this VDA card provides "old school" analog signal processing/distribution.
Talia Video Distribution Amplifier
Made in Australia
Circa Late 1990's
Model: VDA E310 SM
Rack frame mounting
Eurocard format (DIN41612 64 way connector to the rear)
Slim format, single 3RU slot
All video signals, DC are routed to the rear connector which engages with a 64 way male connector on the rack frame backplane board.
I am not so good at remembering these things but I THINK this was a single port in, ten port out card
The BNC socket on the front panel is for monitoring/observation purposes only
Various user setting accessible from the front panel e.g EQ settings, gain
I cannot recall the bandwidth of these cards but "think" it was around 70Mhz
The photographs show the card with shield removed, not much to see on the board (many components are underneath yet another shield internally) and there are some "local" switch settings but I don't have the manual any longer!
I had a large number of these cards (with manuals) a LONG time ago but only have this orphan single card left (no card frame unfortunately)
Now sealed in plastic for storage and it will be supplied the same way.
