BACKGROUND HISTORY
There are pepper & salt mills AND THEN there are superb mills, this is one of the latter!
High quality, hand crafted Brass metal outer body, diecast grinding mechanism, pepper mill. Alexander also produces a salt mill, this has a Copper body.
These mills are well known in the hospitality industry for both the quality of build but the excellent grinding function which extracts maximum flavour from the pepper corns.
We have used a pair of these for many years (the company began producing these in the late 1970's) and never had an issue - a dream to use in the kitchen, be it domestic or commerical.

If you are looking at processing rock salt, obtain the Copper mill as that is designed (different grinding size) for salt - we do not have a spare salt mill.

Supplied in the original box which still has the supplier barcode and retail price stickers - we bought some of these for our friends who owned a "high end Cafe" as gifts to them a long time back, in the 1990's, and had this solitary pepper mill left over - it has just been sitting in a kitchen cupboard!
Original outer ALEXANDER packaging, if I was to make any comment about this ... while Alexander designs and manufacturers beautiful functional mills, their marketing could have been improved! It's such a drab looking outer box, hiding the work of art inside!
The mill is supplied in the original SEALED clear plastic packaging - I have not opened it to take any photographs, that would spoil the "newness"

The brasswork has simple Greek artwork and ALEXANDER inscribed (not printed or laser etched) into the Brass
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW (but old stock - been sitting in the kitchen cupboard!)
SEALED inner plastic packaging around the mill
Brass is bright and shiny, no oxidisation or dullness to the metal
Because this is a new item, the handle is inside the mill, this means that very simple assembly of the handle is required once the sealed inner packaging is opened.
