Oh my, another slice of history on vinyl from the mists of time that I have found in one of my boxes of "older" musical gems!

Featuring tracks from Ted Lewis, Eddie Cantor, Jimmy Durante & Sophie Tucker.

Who are these people (I hear you ask) ... they are all Americans (actually Sophie was a Ukrainian/American) all were born in the late 19th century, with Sophie being the eldest, having been born in 1887. Sophie tended to sing risque songs and she was affectionately known as "The Last Of The Red Hot Mamas" The height of their popularity was during the 1920's ~ 1940's and their claim to fame was as multi-talented song-writers, singers and comedians.

Mono audio

Heavy cardboard cover is in good condition, no personal writing, no seam splits, no tears and only light edgewear from normal handling. Clean and in amazing condition for a cover that is around 75 years old!

Original paper liner envelope is supplied (for the sake of authenticity). This envelope is an interesting read in itself!

Vinyl (this is a microgroove "unbreakable" vinyl record NOT shellac) record is in good condition, visually inspected under a bright White halogen light source and I can see just a couple of very light scratches or marks on either side, again this is just amazing after all these years. Just looking at the vinyl is not a great way to judge the condition so I then played the release ENTIRELY, every single track on each side, there are no significant issues with surface noise nor clicks/pops at all - just the occasional low level surface noise and a low level click or pop at times. NO clunk clunk cluck clunk clunk which are caused by scratches.

Not the sort of music you get to hear very often these days but, when in the right environment or mood, a joy to listen to if you feel like being transported back to the popular music just prior to WWII

New outer protective 10" clear plastic sleeve
