To know where you are going in music, you need to know the path upon which you have been ...

Paul Whiteman was considered a musical innovator, at the very beginning of modern jazz although he experimented with many other musical genres.

This album is a reissue of the music from 1920's, carefully remastered and processed using the Columbia Viva Tonal System a.k.a noise reduction while increasing the frequency range of the original recordings.

Many pooh pooh music that was very popular 100 years ago but if you dare, take a listen and learn about the original formation of contemporary styles. This album is actually a very pleasant listen for those who have "musically educated" ears .... we played this just a couple of times during one of our previous audio production "theme evenings", this music set the scene and in comes the flappers!

Remastered using special noise reduction and frequency range enhancement technology (the original recordings were 50 years earlier after all)

Heavy cardboard cover is in very good condition, no tears, no seam splits and no writing on the cover at all. Inside the cover is the ORIGINAL printed paper inner sleeve (for historical reasons) which features instructions on how to handle a vinyl record and a wonderful printed promotion of the record labels other albums ... remember Paul Revere & The Raiders or Big Brother & The Holding Company? ... amongst others

New inner plastic sleeve - this is inserted inside the original paper sleeve

Vinyl is in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see NO scratches or marks on either side. I then played the ENTIRE album, every single track, and there are no issues with surface noise or click/pop events at all - a very nice clean playback.

TRACKS: C-O-N-S-T-A-N-T-I-N-O-P-L-E, 'Taint So, Honey, 'Taint So, Get Out And Get Under The Moon, I'd Rather Cry Over You (Than Smile At Somebody Else), I'm On The Crest Of A Wave, That's My Weakness Now, Because My Baby Don't Mean "Maybe" Now!, Out-O'-Town Gal, I'm Bringing A Red Red Rose, Coquette, Reaching For Someone (And Not Finding Anyone There), S'posin, At Twilight, When You're Counting The Stars, I'm A Dreamer Aren't We All?, A Bundle Of Old Love Letters
